About
21/31 Productions is named for our parents.
Haralambos Lellios and Eleutheria Karayianni immersed themselves in the new customs of their adopted country of the United States of America while maintaining their inherited Eastern Orthodox background from Labove, Albania and Constantinople (Istanbul), Turkey.
21/31 is seeking to do the same: create unique productions that both remember and recall our roots as well as illuminate our multi-ethnic culture.
Fay Efrosini Lellios
Fay earned her Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and her Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting and Film from Boston University, where she also choreographed several modern pieces for the school's Dance Theatre Group. After graduating, she moved to New York City and was employed at Merchant Ivory Productions as office manager, creative assistant to Ismail Merchant, James Ivory and Ruth Jhabvala, and worked on set for several productions in the U.K.
Fay left Merchant Ivory to devote more time to screenwriting, supporting herself as a truck stop waitress in New Hampshire. Shortly, two of her screenplays became Sundance Lab finalists, which led Fay to attend the MFA Screenwriting Program at the American Film Institute. She graduated with several awards for her writing.
During her 20 + -year employment at Paramount, Fay produced and directed award-winning documentaries, wrote several feature scripts covering themes of homeland and immigration, and directed and shot oral history interviews for the National Hellenic Museum. She is both a citizen of the U.S. and of Greece.
Fay is very proud to announce that all three films in The Thisvi Trilogy, “Shared Balcony,” “A Month of Sundays,” and “Huzun” all Oscar-Qualified for Live Action Short Film!
Fay is currently developing a dramatic series for Greece and a comedy feature for Los Angeles.
George H. Lellios
George earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Boston University, where he produced, co-wrote, and directed three well-received short films. Like all well-meaning indie filmmakers, upon graduating, he worked a variety of jobs, including within his alma mater’s library system where he was elected a union VP to represent the clerical staff during contract negotiations. He also “wrenched” for Boston’s premier bicycle shop as a mechanic and service writer.
George then jumped into the industry of a life-long passion: high-performance audio, video and integration technology. Starting with retail sales then inside sales for a prominent high-end audio manufacturer, George became an independent manufacturer’s representative, supporting numerous vendors and managing key accounts in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. Currently, he is a systems designer for one of greater Boston’s leading providers of technology in a commercial environment.
George enjoys cycling, learning about new technologies, listening to records on his VPI turntable, and watching movies with his wife and two daughters.
All the while working to turn 21/31 Productions’ visions into reality.
